School in a Bag

Ann Acaster the International Service Committee Chairman has announced that her chosen charity is School in a Bag. SIAB is an initiative run by the Piers Simon Appeal.  Ann and the members are hoping to take part in bag packs in their districts. There are also plans to knit a mountain of teddies so that they can be put one into each rucksack.

Luke Simon, Founder of School in a Bag said: “Being chosen as the International Charity Partner for Inner Wheel is just amazing for us. We’re still a relatively small charity so this exposure will help spread the word, and therefore the work we do, enormously. We’re  really excited about working so closely with all the Inner Wheel districts ,and with there being so many clubs based in many other countries too (103 countries ,3,895 clubs and100,000 members ) we may well be able to tie in School Bags being distributed in places where international cub members can be a  part of the journey and delivery. We would particularly like to thank Inner Wheel and especially Ann who instigated this partnership, for choosing us, and we can’t wait to get the ball rolling!”
